Served as cinematographer, shaping both lighting and camera in close collaboration with the director throughout development and production. Focused on naturalistic, motivated lighting using practicals and available light, including sun-only exterior work during the New Mexico shoot. Emphasized a grounded visual style that supports the story without drawing attention away from performance.

The Roles We Play

A young woman struggles to navigate a tense relationship with her father, which is paralleled with an imaginary stage play where she is a princess and her father is a dragon.

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Worked as cinematographer, handling both camera and lighting while collaborating with the director to establish a cohesive visual approach. Designed a naturalistic lighting setup that could sustain multiple scenes within a tight two-day schedule, minimizing resets while maintaining consistency. This project marked an early step in developing an efficient, story-first workflow under time constraints.

Includes experiments with natural and stylized lighting, handheld movement, car-mounted shots, and period-inspired looks. This body of work reflects ongoing development in both technical skill and creative approach, including early timelapse and color grading exploration.

Nuketown!

A rookie bodyguard assigned to a high-profile politician spends his final fifteen minutes on Earth trying to reunite a young teenager with her controversial parents before the commencement of Operation Nuketown.

CAMERA OPERATOR

Served as camera operator, executing shots under the direction of the cinematographer and director while working with the RED Komodo 6K for the first time. Focused on maintaining framing, movement, and consistency throughout production. This project emphasized adaptability and quickly becoming comfortable with new equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Jacob Vasquez embarks on a misguided quest to avenge his deceased father.

CAMERA OPERATOR

Worked as camera operator, contributing to shot execution and on-set camera movement while collaborating closely with the director and cinematographer. Gained experience operating in more dynamic setups, including executing a handheld long take requiring precise movement and control. Built on previous experience with increased confidence and fluidity in camera operation.

A documentary following two mechanics in a small-town shop devoted to restoring Porsche 944s, driven by a passion that has turned their craft into both a career and a legacy.

CAMERA OPERATOR

Contributed as camera operator while also assisting with lighting and grip work on a small documentary crew. Utilized both natural light and LED setups to achieve a clean, grounded look that complemented the subject matter. Supported production across multiple roles, helping maintain flexibility and efficiency throughout the shoot.

In this exploration of New Harvest Creative’s history, we highlight the individuals who make up the team, their notable achievements, and the collaborators who continue to shape its vision. 

As the company puts it: “It takes the creative seeds as well as the knowledge, infrastructure, and investment to turn IP seeds into properties that benefit the creators.”

DIRECTOR

Directed a short documentary from pre-production through final edit, shaping both the visual approach and overall narrative. Led a two-camera interview setup while collaborating on lighting design to achieve a cinematic yet natural tone. Focused heavily on structuring the story in post, condensing multiple interviews into a cohesive and engaging final piece.
